Wer auf englischsprachigen Seiten in Richtung .NET recherchiert, wird die kleinen Buttons von dotnetkicks.com kennen, einer .NET-News-Community, beheimatet in Irland.

DotNetKicks.com is a community based news site edited by our members. It specialises in .NET development techniques, technologies and tools including ASP.NET, C#, VB.NET, C++, Visual Studio, SubSonic, Open Source, SQL Server, Silverlight & Mono.

Im deutschsprachigen Raum gab es eine solche Community lange nicht, bis jetzt. Der sehr r�hrige Jan Welker, der unter anderem die Seite dotnet-snippets.de betreibt, hat mit Klaus Bock und Gordon Breuer das Projekt dotnet-kicks.de auf die Beine gestellt, welches ein Klon des englischsprachigen Originals darstellt. Wer also bereits englische Artikel bei dotnetkicks.com einstellt, muss sich in Bezug auf die Bedienung nicht umstellen. Einziger Unterschied ist der Bindestrich in der Url (warum auch immer...?) und eine etwas andere Farbgebung der Seite.

Auch technisch sind beide Seiten Zwillinge, denn dotnet-kicks.de basiert ebenfalls auf ASP.NET/C# mit einem SQL-Server als Datenbasis und Subsonic als O/R-Mapper.

Jeder, von einem Blogbesitzer eingesteller Artikel, kann von Mitgliedern der Community ge-kickt werden, was eine positive Bewertung darstellt � la 'mir gef�llt was der da geschrieben hat'. Artikel mit vielen Kicks werden prominent auf der Startseite abgebildet.

dotnet-kicks.de ist f�r Blogbetreiber, die viel �ber .NET berichten, ein weiterer, guter Ansatz die Bekanntheit der eigenen Artikel und des Blogs im Generellen zu steigern.
