Bereit f�r Windows Vista?

Man hat ja schon so allerhand vom neuen Microsoft'schen Betriebssystem "Windows Vista" geh�rt. So mancher wird sich auch am Preview-Programm der ersten Betas beteiligt haben, nur um festzustellen, da� die Hardware nicht mitspielt. Um nun den Verkaufsstart (irgendwann, demn�chst, vielleicht...) zu unterst�tzen hat Microsoft eine weitere Beta herausgebracht: den sog. Windows Vista Upgrade Advisor.

Das zu installierende Programm ist ein Pr�f-Tool f�r die vorhandene Hardware, mit dem jeder Vista-User in spe checken kann, on neue Hardware f�llig ist oder nicht.

Wie man am Screenshot sieht, scheint mein Notebook, mit dem ich diesen Beitrag schreibe, weit davon entfernt Vista-kompatibel zu sein. Allein Festplatten-technisch fehlen mir auf der prim�ren Partition 15 GB! Was sagt uns das? 20 GB freier Speicher auf der Systempartition sollten es dann schon sein. Das Tool spricht f�r die Premium-Editionen sogar von 40 GB. Von Aero, der neuen schicken 3D-Oberfl�che, kann mein tragbarer Rechenknecht auch nur tr�umen. Tja, mein Lieber, mit XP wirst Du alt...
